NEED HELP!!!! Tranny wont go into Gear!!!
Just swapped a 97 D16Y8 engine along with a 94 D16Z6 tranny into my 93 Civic CX. It drove great with no problems for 50 miles. Then all the **** happened, i was getting off the freeway and downshifted for 5th to 4th doing about 50mph, all of a sudden it popped out of gear. i put it into 3rd, no go! pulled over and took a look under the hood, went though all the gears. Everything seemed fine. Started it up and went to drive home, woundnt go into 1st, 3rd, 4th or 5th. only went to 2nd. anyways, it pops out of every gear and basically my car wont go anywhere? What could be wrong? Anything i can look for? Is my tranny blown? need some help here! thanks

Re: NEED HELP!!!! Tranny wont go into Gear!!! (Mista Bone)
i once had similar problems..........first off, do u have any noise associated with when u try to push it into gear? like grinding when u push on it or something.
I once had a bolt off my flywheel coming out, and was rubbing up into the clutch......could have proven to be a costly fix if i had tried to keep driving it, but luckily by the time i started having problems and got home, and got in there and found out, it had only shiney and polished the head of the flywheel bolt....
im not saying this is whats happening in ur case, im just saying CHECK EVERYTHING, from hydraulic pressure from ur master to slave cylinder for the hydro tranny, from the fork to the throw out bearing - anything.
