Need help: Throwing o2 sensor CEL code!!!
I have a 95 gsr in my 92 hatch and have been throwing a code 1. At the moment, I don't have the space/resources to jack the car up and check under to see if the o2 sensor is disconnected or something. I'd probably be able to do so in 2 weeks. Would it be safe driving the car around meanwhile?
Any tips as to how I should diagnose the prob? Any way to figure out whether it's a faulty sensor or connection? How much $$$ do o2 sensors usually cost? Thanks guys. BTW, I did order a helms manual a couple of days ago cuz I thought it might be a great help. -Rod |

good move with the helms
and well if the o2 sensor is fried, your gas mileage will go straight to shit. they run from 75$ for a bosch replacment to i think 200 for a honda one. mine went out during my swap (had to use an impact gun to remove it from stock header, hehehe) im using a bosch replacment, works fine. |

Thanks for the reply man. Yea, I noticed that my gas mileage has suffered a bit. Can I get a bosch replacement @ a local pep boys or something?

I try and stick with OEM parts...so thats what I am going to recommend for you, if yours is indeed bad. However, if you go to the dealer....your a fool. Order from somewhere off the net, like HParts.com. There are tons of places out there to get an O2 for less than 200 bills.
