-Need Help Please- K20A swap in 00 EK sedan EX.

Hello my Honda lovers!
I’m in a bit of a bind. Originally I was going to put an EM1 complete USDM swap B16a2 (such a waste it’s a 35k mile motor, a friend of mine got rear ended while being parked in the city by an RV) I have everything for this swap. But now imma have to take a turn and go K20A (JDM 02-04 DC5)

unfortunately i I live in CA and I have to BAR the engine.
I need to ask my fellow Honda lovers what parts I need to pass CA BAR?

K20A JDM swap
K20A 6 speed LSD tranny
02-04 RSX type S engine harness
02-04 RSX type S intake manifold
02-04 RSX type S cat
02-04 RSX type S ECU
Hasport EKK2 engine mounts
EG/DC rear subframe cross member
Karcepts Shifter mounting kit
Ktuned harness conversion

P/S high pressure hose done?
A/C I wanna keep still don’t know what to do?
Headers?
Can any other cat be used still?
radiator?
Hoses?
axels? (I’d like to keep my 4x100 setup)
Fuel rail?
anything else I’m missing?

Please let me know what else I need. Thanks so much and hopefully y’all can help me!

Thanks,
Fred

Actually, I can help you with a lot of this. What’s your budget limit?

budget limit?

i found out that I have to get a RSX typeS gas tank.
I can get Hasport axels k20 to 32mm
fuel system and hoses from Ktuned

still researching on possible headers and cat converter for BAR

How much are you planning to spend?

Bummer on the tank, but I think you have to have all the emissions equipment from the donor car installed on your car in order to get BAR’d. But I don’t live in California, so I’m not 100% sure there.

Hasport is a fabulous company and has excellent customer support. I wish I had gotten my axles from them!

You can make up your own fuel lines for fairly cheap as long as you get a good fuel pressure regulator. Just get some JIC fittings, some 5/16” barbed fittings, some high pressure fuel line, and proper hose clamps.

Believe it or not, you can use the OEM header if you heat it cherry red and bend its collector/outlet in what would be towards the engine if it were installed. Then, just get a quality catalytic converter, install the post-cat O2 sensor downstream of that, and extend the O2 sensor wires if necessary.

There isn’t really a budget limit more like a budget time. Lol. My smog is in the end of the year. So that means pretty much I gotta get everything ready so right after smog I can swap.

Alright. You’ll need everything related to the evaporative emissions system, I’m pretty sure. I’m not sure what it will take to get that fuel tank in your civic, but I’m sure it’s been done before.
