Default NEED HELP, NEW MOTOR

my car and motor will be out on sat, its my 1st swap and ill i could afford right now was a b16, i was just wondering when i go pick it up, what are some things i can do, like replace all fluids? im new to this, but is there like some checklist you can do to ensure its performance?

It shouldnt have fluids in it, but if it does drain them and just do routine mainance on it (oil, plugs, filters)

it didnt have fluids when it was sitting at the shop, i suppose my rad fluid, ps, brake fluid, windsheild etc.. will all be from my previous ride, they are putting a temporary cleaning oil that i am supposed to change in a week, should i run it fully synthetic, and what grade?

i want to change the spark plugs too, the ones on the head, what size or kind do i use

should i replace some gaskets, what do you guys do when you get ur new motors?

You registered like 2 weeks ago and have 23 posts.. and WE'RE useless?


Search you noob.

The engine will need all fluids, sparkplugs, oil filter, etc. It wouldn't be a bad idea to change the waterpump and clutch since the motor is out. If your asking these questions I'm assuming you don't know how to do this,
