Need help with CEL on my B18C1 Hybrid hatch
Hello All:
My car has been running funny for a couple of days now. As I let out on the clutch while shifting, the car seems to bog a little and makes a funny burp noise, but only for a second or so. It may be a little down on power too, but not much. The VTEC and secondaries appear to be working.
Because I am sort of stupid, I bounced it off the rev limiter this evening while doing a diagnostic test drive. A couple of minutes later the CEL came on, and stayed on until I got home. I shut the car off, and turned it back on, no CEL.
Any ideas? Unofortunately, I don't have access to check for codes until this weekend, but its kind of eating at me in the meantime. My swap kit has about 75,000 miles on it. I'm thinking it might be the 02 sensor or perhaps the TPS?
Thanks for any input.
Steve

why not run the codes?you can use a jumper wire and count the flashes your self very easily! there should be a plug close to the ECu above it and it is samll and has two wires running to cross these with a wire and turn ign. to on postion and count flashes.then if you dont know what the # means post it and someone form H.T will for sure know and help!

Hey:
I had to put the car away, where I won't be able to get access to it until Saturday. Thanks for the help, though.
Is your car really camouflage? Do you have any pics?
Steve

Okay:
I got a code 23. Knock sensor. I checked out my knock sensor and it was loose (!).
I tightened it back up (that's kind of a pain in the a$$). Drove the car, no more code.
However, its still bogging/hesitating. Does anyone have any ideas about that? It's when you are just getting into the throttle after a gear change.
Thanks
Steve

Was 23 the only code?
The bogging/hesitating sounds like an IAC valve, but check for codes again and that should lead to your problem.
<Edit>
I just saw that 1" exhaust in your sig, that can't be helping anything. I'm not sure if that could plug things up enough to create driveability issuses, but it wouldn't surprise me.
