Need help with B18C6 wiring...i'm an idiot
I have a UK ITR B18C6 with p73 OBD2 ecu ready to drop into my 92 JDM VTI (D15B SOHC VTEC) with P08 (i think) ecu. I already have the ECU side loom from the ITR but how do i splice it into my existing loom under the dash? I know that my plugs have 2 rows of wires(OBD1) but the ITR plugs have 3 rows (OBD2), but i noticed that the bottom row is not used??!!!?? So far i've separated all the wires i wont need and i am left with the ecu loom that splits into two - one side which will have to be spliced to my existing loom and another side which has three grey plugs that connect to the engine. Can someone help in identifying the wires or is it better to use a P72 obd1, if it works with my engine? And is splicing the wires straight forward? Do i just match up the same color wires from my wiring loom to the ITR loom? Sorry for the long post but wanted to get the details in there and i am stupid when it comes to wiring. Thanx in advance.

I have the same set up as you and this is what I did. I used the stock wiring harness from the ITR plugged everything up and used a P28 ECU chipped for an ITR from Kenji(he is the the best with ECU chiping) The ecu plugged directly into my stock wiring harness by the kick panel. I forget his email but do a search in here and I sure you will find it. Are you going to Hondaropa in July? Maybe we can meet up. Email me nerv2g@hotmail.com. Hope that helps man

Thanx for the reply. I have thought about that, but where is the P28 from? My main concern is to use what i have and not splash out any more cash. I had already bought this P73 JDM ECU. Are there any other options?
What about the B18C5? Did that use a P72? and is that compatible with the b18c6? Cos the p72 will plug straight into my civic harness.
What's Hondaropa dude? Where do you live? I will email you, ok.

Re: (Redsun)
you really want a ecu from a uk spec civic vti (92-95), then that should plug straight in to your original wiring, and the b18c6 engine loom should plug straight in at the strut tops. i did this conversion myself (b18c6 into a uk vti), and the only wiring i had to do was for the vtec oil pressure switch(1 wire), as the uk itr doesn't have one, but the uk vti ecu looks for it. then when it is all running, order a chip from kenji, or get a custom chip made up in the uk.

But i really do not want to get another ECU and have to bother with chip. My main question is will this adapter harness work? So that i can just use the ITR's original ECU (P73)

Re: (Redsun)
Here you go....he's selling chipped P28 ECU's for $210 shipped(P28 ECU is a SOHC ECU from a 92-95 Si/Ex that is chipped to DOHC specs):
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=487224
It would be better if you went OBD1....it will plug right up to your existing ECU harness....the engine wiring harness for the c6 will plug right up to the plugs at the shock towers but like said above you only have to add a few wires for vtec which is pretty simple....and you don't have to worry about doing any changes to the motor..everything stays the same and you only need to run one O2 sensor....
Then sell the ECU you have to make your money back....

Re: (Redsun)
you really are better off with a 0bd1 system anyway, people on here with integra type r's actually spend time and money converting to the older ecu's, especially as emissions aren't strict at all in the UK
