Need Help 92-95 civic radiator in 88-91 Civic
I have a 1991 civic si and i wanna use the 92-95 slim style radiator for obvious reasons, i will be turboing......
I was told by several people i can use my stock crossmember and not buy the place racing. They said i have to cut my stock crossmember alittle......
Can someone please describe to me in fine details and possibly show pics of what exactly i have to do to my stock crossmember for the slim radiator to fit.
Also what other parts will i need to mount the rad, i heard self tapping screws and a custom top mount bracket?
Thanks

Re: Need Help 92-95 civic radiator in 88-91 Civic (Outkast)
Ask some peeps in the Civic/DelSol & CRX forums. Mnay have done it and posted pics.
Search the forums first though, before asking.

i had to adjust the hood support ribs - cut them for radiator cap to fit and kind of played around with the mount points and had two metal tabs welded on and then cut out rubber spacers for the bottom mounts...good piece. if you are going for overkill you can get the fluidyne ones.....the dohc vtec (del sol) type have bigger inlet and outlets...

there are some other crossmembers too ..

i saw some people tilt the radiator slightly to make it fit with stock cross member, and some grind away part of the hoods support structure to make room for the slightly taller new radiator.
