Need help 1995 Civic Hatchback SOHC
Any ideas of what engine I could possibly swap to?? Is there any way to change my stock engine to a DOHC without having to swap out the whole engine?

youd have to get a whole new engine. get a good sohc vtec head, a good cam, port and polished head and intake manifold with a big bore TB. Sleeve it bore it out and that SOHC would be quick as hell.

the quick way to make horse power is to swap the motor good an cheap swap for ya would be a b18b1 with a hydro tranie it would make 143hp and the botors are cheap. and by the way you should not have to sleave a motor if your not turbo and by over boring the motor your not gona see big gains onles you do it all properly with rods, crank and pistons to complete a stroker kit https://honda-tech.com/forums/images.../h-emblem4.gif

What kind of car do you have? A mini-me swap will be a waste unless you have a VX.
Staying SOHC for sure?.....get a D16Z6 swap. There dirt cheap. Spade and Mista Bone can also big a huge help around here for SOHC. http://www.hmotorsonline.com http://www.nippon-motors.com http://www.SOHfast.com |
