n00b CA BAR/smog question

It did when it was BAR'ed. That should be pretty obvious.
Will it pass now?? That is like trying to guess if heads or tails when you flip a quarter.
Being that it was bar'ed all the emissions equipment was on the car at that time. If it is all there and is working chances are heads,I mean yes.
Actually I just noticed that you are buying it. Well a little info for you, in CA the seller is required to have it smogged before he sell's it. So he should provide you with a passed smog when you buy it. That way you can go to the dmv right away. Also note any smog test is only good for 90 days so if it is an old one you will need another test.

It should pass if they have not altered anything since the car was bared/smoged last it will pass. But then again they may just do the old smog trick and let you find out later on it does not pass.
