Haha! When I had my H22 EG hatch, and I was running an open-loop O2 setup, and the Spoon P13 ECU (don't ask why ), I could swear that in VTEC, while flooring it on the highway, you can see the fuel needle dropping ..... very slowly but dropping. I guess that's the price you pay for displacement & power, but it was worth it IMO

Check your timing out. If you exhaust cam is off even by a tooth you will get bad gas mileage and you wont really know why. I was getting bad mileage before we figured out timing was off and now I am at normal standards...

20 MPG?
WTF? seriously?
If I get all my cel's taking care of and the car running right, and that's all I get...I'm gonna freakin sell this. A z06 gets 19/28!

Shut up Mr. crvtec. No one cares what gas milage your swap gets.
Yeah I am kinda dissapointed with the gas milage I get with my swap. I get about 23-25 mpg. This is mostly stop and go city driving, as I deliver pizzas with my car. If I'm lucky I will get around 200, mostly about 180-190 miles on a little cx tank. One the highway though my gas mileage goes up to at least 30.
Everyone says that h22's tend to run rich at partial throttle, full throttle...blah..blah. I just want to get hondata w/ partial throttle tuning. Hopefully my gas mileage will go up then.
I know this is kinda random, but has anyone noticed with their h22 civic that the car doesn't like to roll really well? I mean I can be stopped on a slight incline and the car won't really roll backwards. Also my car is a bitch to push. Is it cuz of the axles and the angles? When I drive around its like my car doesn't like to pick up or go anywhere unless I really step on it. I always have to be on the gas or the car won't accellerate or it will slow down. Maybe its just torque

does the spoon program make it open loop??or was it like that because he had a problem with his o2 sensor or something???

Good luck getting any real numbers.
Most people don't believe me that the speedo is fast.....it's impossible to get any real numbers until you know exactly what ratio the speedometer is off and then do the math through the whole relationship.

Re: my ek22 eats gas like crazy... (xSpooNxEkx)
naw, it really does.... honestly though it depends on how I drive. If i floor the entire tank w/ A/C blazing, I can get as low as 25mpg. Very spirited driving w/ mild a/c =28-32. Freeway miles=38-40mpg. So basicly, on my lil HF, I get between 200-300miles to the tank, which may not seem like alot. But I fill up 7 gal usually.
Its a good runnin lil car.

Re: my ek22 eats gas like crazy... (irev210)
With my h22 civ I tend to get 280-310 Mi. per tank. That's about 28 MPG's, and that's around the city. but my speedo is 5 MPH fast too. Hmm..
