my friends crvtec in his 91 crx si with full interior, body kit and 16's ran a 13.8 in the 1/4 mile, so considering you have a hf which is lighter. He also has the normal bolt on's so you should run 13's easily.

nice time. and yes, you should go 12's easy. once you learn how to drive it that is.

yea.....now I don't know whether I'm going b20 vtec or go for the ls vtec since i found an ls block with oil pan, oil pump strainer, oil cover, oil pump, crankshaft seal, and water pump but no pistons, rods, head, etc. for 100 bucks right now...what is a good price for this (the block has about 50 k miles on it) and how should I go??

14's in crx hf with s b20 vtec yeah somthing doesn't sound right I have the sma eset up in my 91 integra with I/H/E stock timing, fuel pressure riser, and my ls tranny and i ran a 14.27 at 98mph with my 15 inch tires (toyo proxes t1-s) so if my car ran this fast your car should alot faster then mine. I would bet its the driving, not ******* how you drive its that you might need to go back to the track and practice thats it, unless the motor was put together incorrectly, but i would practice your runs, it seems, BTW do you have your timeslip, so you can ost your reaction time, 60 ft etc etc so we can check them out, i wouldn't use the ls block the b20 block is a dope block if you put it together right, just like an LS/vtec

The steelies probably wont grip well (assuming you have street tires) so let out air...run about 23psi. I think I ran 23psi and it helped me grip better. Dropped my 1/4 time by .3 seconds.

Do you have an ITR complete head?

My b20/vtec motor is now complete but only the bottom end is built, I am using a stock b16 head. I was just wondering how much power I would be making.

I think you misunderstood, I don't actually have this swap, i was just wondering if my CRX with b20vtec and I/H/E would put me in sub 14's.....

There was someone that posted in another b20 thread that said he ran like 12 something with a b20/vtec and bolt ons in a crx.

If you're aiming for mid 14s I'll suggest you just get a B16 swap. A lot cheaper and still quick.
