whats up guys, so here in aug im gettting out of the air force and going to school out at sac st. i was wondering about smog checks. by then ill have fully built LS motor in an hatch with a DRAG 3 kit. how many problems will i have? my parents live out in cloverdale, up by santa rosa, and they do not req. smog checks, if i regester it there will i have to do anything for sacramento? any help would be out standing.

smog is crazy here in california. they just changed it and now we put the cars on the dyno some states have smog for free but we have to pay it goes from 60-80 bucks. they also have visual test and any open air filter thing will not pass and i highly doubt ur car will pass because in visual inspection they check the vin on the motor and the chais to make sure its the same if not they send u to the state referee. some people live in different parts of california but there all sent to the 1 state ref in sacremento. basically smogging in california is bullshit. if u want more info pm me.
