Default Mount Kits for B series motor in 91 CRX

I'm looking to drop a B18B into my girlfriend's 91 CRX DX this spring. I'm having trouble on deciding what mounts to go with. I thought I'd start this poll and let the majority help my decision. I'm concerned with clearance, quality and the possibility of adding a J.R. supercharger or turbo setup later on.

The new all billet Hasport mounts are sweet. Check them out at their website: http://www.hasport.com I just got my set and they are really nice.

The engine is mounted farther toward the firewall with the HASPORT( unless the new ones have changed Geometry??), so that may stop the Jackson Racing idea.

The HCP kit mounts it farther forward, and uses a fourth mount, I think there is room for a supercharger with that kit( check with Blown90Hatch in the civic crx forum ).

I have no experience with the place, maybe someone else can be of assistance.

I think a turbo kit will work with most of the mount kits.

Good luck,...later.

Oops, had HCP where I meant to put HASPORT the first time, sorry for any confusion!......I'll learn to double check myself before hitting post in the future.

Yes you can run a JR Supercharger with the HCP kits. Blown90Hatch ran one on his EF hatch with the HCP kit. If you have any questions I would send him a instant message, but he will be gone on vacation till the 15th.

HCP mounts the engine about a 1/4" further back than the Hasport kit. The JRSC fits with the Hasport kit, you just have to move the fuel filter over.

HCP mount kit with a Bseries motor and a JR blower clear fine. I would recommend using the Type-R kit from JR if you are using a B16a/B18c5 head. If you are running the GSR motor, just get the blower for the GSr then. It clears everything fine. It sits the blower a little under the master cylinder. It also comes with 4 mounts for a more solid motor under boost. The new Hasport mounts are nice. They are all machined on CNC. I am an Authorized Dealer through HCP, and sell EF kits alot on this board. 410 shipped for 4 eurathane mounts and adjustable shift linkage shipped to anywhere in the 48 states.

LOL... everyone putting up their $.02 for their "authorized HCP dealer." Well, I've been with HCP for over 4 years now, working with them. I'll throw in my deal for the hell of it.... check it http://www.csuchico.edu/~dnewman/hcp

Personally, it doesn't matter what kit you choose to run or where you get it from. I feel that you should get the full benefit of all available prices and that sort for any kit. Good luck.
