motor swap issues
so im doing a swap for my friend in his 2000 civic.
he called Steve at HMO. and got a motor.
Steve sent a SOHC ZC. but im pretty sure he sent him a obd1
and i have two clips that dont have a home. on the old motor there was a wire thing coming from the crank that isnt on the ZC.
and theres a Little black box that's plugged into the intake manifold. that has a clip that goes into that's not on the new one.
also someone told me that 2000 civic have demobilizes and if you do a swap you gotta do something to reset the ecu... i dont know cause im an EF person myself so all this new **** is kinda out of my league
help is greatly appreciated

Re: motor swap issues (i hate rice)
edit: posted as you were making the comments above....
Not sure why it's posted in this forum, but here's what I would look into if I was you.
I thought all ZC were OBD0. In which case the MAP Sensor would have been on the firewall, not on the IM or TB. If that's the sensor you are talking about, then you should have some vacum lines or ports that go nowhere on the ZC IM/TB.
The plug at the crank may just be one of the additional OBD2 crank sensors not used by the ZC computer. By you running the OBD2 computer this will be a problem.
If the ZC car is OBD0, I think you migh have to change your injector clips and injectors depending on wether you run a resistor box or not.
I haven't done this swap myself, so take what I say lightly.
