Default which motor for my 4dr

sup ht... i have a dilema, well sort of. I have a budget to work with and a couple options for my motor

1. h22a4 (non SH) full swap

2. b16a2 full swap

3. throw a turbo at my d16y7 ( which is attached to a slushbox)

4. build the z6/a6 motor i got sittin for boost

every option besides #3 means im gonna switch to a manual tranny, which is good cause the auto is slippin a lil bit, but i really dont mind the auto tranny considering all the driving i do every day, it just that it's sooooo slow...

any opinion appreciated, thnx

personally I'd go for the h22 because even if you dont modify it right away itll be quick and its a great platform to build on

i workin with 2500 but can stretch to 3000

i can get all these done for my budget... got 2 or 3 b16 swaps, for 1800; h22a4 for the same... or build the single cam...

i think the h22 would be good for the tourque it has, to pull my 98 4dr civic

thnx, for the opinions, keep em comin... ne one have an h22 in a 4dr... or b16, pretty stock, what did you run at track????

we should email one of the moderators to start a new forum. it should be called
"what engine should i get for my civic" forum. so maybe that way we can stick to the technical questions on this forum.

Turbo - D series. For 2500 you can take your car Way faster than a swap. Plus everyone know boost gets you laid.

so i went to my local shop, All About Performance, and pistons rods, all new gaskets, arp head studs, timing belt, etc., plus rebuilding the tranny and a new clutch (this all adds up too quick) is gonna run me 2500... i still need a turbo for the single stick to be quick... so now, even though boost gets you laid, i think i might go H22... help me with my "FINAL ANSWER" lol
