Well, both can cost about the same, depending on where you get your parts, but that's for a "stock" B20-VTEC setup, which really isn't much faster than a JDM GSR or ITR motor setup. Unless you build the B20-VTEC up with something like 12:1 comp pistons and an ITR tranny, the throttle response and "feel" of the H22A will be much better and more noticable. But get whatever you want to and what you feel is the best setup for you. We've built B20-VTEC motors for customers and I just sold our H22A EK hatchback (cause we got a lot for it) and I liked the H22A setup much better, and that's for both daily driving and track use (both drag and road course).... but those are my opinions. Best thing is to find a similar setup in somebody's car and ask to ride in it or to drive it.

I would have to say h22 if you want something that is "out-of-the-box" a ***** out motor! High comp. b20 vtec is very nice if done right with a person who knows how to build it. Even then if you are going to go out of your way to build a b20 vtec setup build yourself an h22 and you would be ***** out!!!!!!!!!!
