Default Mods to a ZC motor???

Hi
Just want to know what are some easy mods to do on a ZC motor in a Civic si?
Engine is BONE STOCK!!!
I already have the integra ECU, still running the SI tranny until i can get some integra axles, and then i'll bolt up the ZC tranny.
Anything else can be done to the motor?
Thanks
Franklin

Take my word on this, Cold air intake, Header 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 catback and that motor will really come to life.

I have '89 DX with ZC engine and ZC transmission, so I know of what I speak. These went on 2 years after putting in this engine/trans, would have done it much sooner had I known how big a difference it would make.

Prices I recently paid,

CAI - $20+shipping scored on ebay

OBX Stainless header $117 + shipping

OBX DT stainless cat back $275 + shipping

You can have performance without major bucks going out.

Have a PM7 ecu with Mugen N-1 chip on the way and that should help a lot too since i have PM6 now.

I recommend not getting a ZC tranny unless you put the final drive from the Si tranny and put it into the ZC tranny.

ZC final drive = 3.888
Si= 4.250

Doing this will get you gears close to a b16 tranny.

1st - 5th gears on the ZC tranny are shorter than the Si tranny, but the final drive is what kills it. Another good start is(I'm not sure if anyone stated this yet) would be to get an 88-89 integra ECU. Better fuel maps and it does not have the speed limiter like the JDM ZC ECU. The USDM ECU should be like $100 from a junkyard and will be plug and play.

Also, check out http://www.homemadeturbo.com and http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/zcinfo.html

I also highl recomend the ZC trans, because it uses an intermediate shaft. I had an Si box before but had wicked torgue steer, replaced it because Si box was noisey, went through 2 noisy Si boxes and went to the ZC. Nearly no tourge steer on hard launches now, love that box. Am considering the Si final and 5th gear swap int my ZC box when I get a good Si box for cheap to strip parts from. PM7 makes more power than the PG7 TEG ecu. But it does have the speed limiter unless you chip it. If you run PM6 or PG7 I recoment chipping for ZC fuel maps and removeal of speed limiter if you want to go faster than 112 mph.
