Modifing GSR block girdle to fit the b18b?
I asked this question in the Tech forum a while back, but I have forgotten what needs to be done to modify if to fit the b18b. I would search for it, but as you al know, the archives when buh bye.
What would I need to tell a machine shop to do to the girdle? Last time I asked, someone posted some pics, if they are still available I would like to save them.
Oh yeah, if anyone has a spar girdle they would like to get rid out, send my a IM or e-mail at ryan_kidwell@hotmail.com. Thanks again.

Re: Modifing GSR block girdle to fit the b18b? (BLK94RS)
Sorry I posted this again guys. I just did another search and got sever post on on the topic. I guess I must have speeled Girdle wrong, maybe I spelled it "gridle" or something.
Anyways, can someone comfirm (who is 100% postive) that you need to use the GSR oil pan? I know I will have to use the GSR oil pump, pickup, and windage tray, but is the pan nessasary?

you really need that pan. while there is a slim possibility you can hammer out the LS pan to clear, what ends up happening is that it leaks. just do it right the first time, so there won't be a second time.

Just use the GSR or ITR oil pan they are the same.
