Default milky oil after swap

hi, i swapped a b18c1 into 97 civic ex, but before that i left my engine in my driveway for a year. now that the swap's finished, the oil hella milky, i changed it once already and im going to do it a few more times to see if it clears up any. my friend says the water might just be from it sitting outside for so long, otherwise its' the head gasket. what do you think my chances are of the former? 50/50? 75/25? 99/01? (I like the sound of the last one best!) how long should it take to clear out if it's just condensation? (I heard about 400 miles?) also, are there any other signs of a blown hg? like loss of power or strange noises? any reassurances would be appreciated!!
