Re: LSD tranny, worth the extra $$$$ ? (POS Hatchback)
Assuming that it works: yes. Why have all the power if you can't get it to the ground? The choice is obvious but this is what we were doing yesterday: We were auto-xing yesterday and I drove a 91 CR-X, 98 ITR, and a 95 Civic with a ITR motor/tranny. The LSD made a huge difference compared to the CR-X. There is no spinning inside wheels on the ITR or Civic hybrid. The worst you can do is make both wheels spin.

I don't plan on auto-x. The car is just my comute to and from work car. Any benefit just on the streets? Will it help on the launch or when it rains and stuff?

had my teg for a year without LSD.
autox and all.
then installed an ITR LSD, the car came to life in the corners, so much more fun to drive WOW!
it is worth it, no doubt! especially since most swap shops sell the full swaps for $300 more with LSD trannies, that is a goo deal indeed, I got my LSD used for $400 an dnew bearings for $50 then had to install it, that took two days
