Default Ls/vtec help~! NOT STARTING.

I JUST PUT IN A B18A N A B16 HEAD. EVERYTHING IS IN. IT STARTS BUT IT JUMPS FOR SOME REASON.. N WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE THE TIMING IT DOESN'T START AT ALL. ANY HELP?

dont need to caps it...what do you mean it jumps...from like 1000 to 1500? that is probably a vacuum leak just check and recheck all your vacuum lines.

ALL VACUMM LINES ARE IN.. U THINK TIMING OR BELT TOO LOOSE?

How does it run good/ bad. Are all plugs firing? MAP sensor and TPS have the right plugs?

You might have a vacuum leak still even if lines are in...a line could be frayed...however the eff you spell it....I plugged every vacuum port on my manifold. If switch the tps and map sensor hookups and see if it starts up and runs better. Any CEL'S ?

I would run okay with a vacuum leak but if the plugs are switched no bueno.

okay now it starts. but right when i start it up it rev up to 6 quickly.. whats going on?

olrite i got the reving to 6 rpm to stop.. now when i turn it on it idles up to 3 rpm constantly going up n down. i know its not the throttle cable.

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. spray carb cleaner around the tb and intake manifold gasket to see if you can find a leak. double check all the vacuum line going into the manifold.
