gsr rods dont fit in the LS block. i recently found this out. well, not unless you change the crank also.
i went though gsr rods/itr pistons, gsr rods/gsr pistons, gsr rods/srp turbo pistons, and none of those combos work with the ls crank.

no point of using gsr crank..then it wouldn't be ls/v-tec
use ls rod's with b-16 pistons...

You could have just done some simple math and avaoided all that headache.

B16A pistons on LS rods.
Forged and aftermarket always better.
If you use stock B16A pistons you'll have trouble keeping your ring lands in tact.
If you use stock LS rods, for peace of mind, shot peen them and get some arp rod bolts.

Seriously, where do you guys come up with this ****, "if you use b16a pistons you'll have trouble keeping your ringlands intact" "aftermarket is always better"
To the original poster, use p30 pistons or jdm itr pistons with your ls rods, have a machine shop cut a mm of each side of the small end of the rod if using the itr's, get arp rodbolts and have the rod resized. Use you ls crank

Forged pistons are not always better. Yes, they are stronger. But they also have to be run looser. This causes an increase in both noise and wear, which is generally undesirable on a daily driver. The bottom line: if you don't need the strength of forged pistons, don't bother with them.
