Default Looking For an Opinion on my H2B setup...??

First off let me list my setup as it stands right now.....

92-95 JDM H22
H22 Type-S cams
Stock valvetrain "for now"
intake manifold is a re-worked oem h22 manifold...can be seen here @ https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-prelude-4/modified-oem-h22-intake-manifold-2431727/#post36574436
77mm-70mm DH-Racing Throttle body
550cc precision injectors
3-3.5" velocity stacked intake
RMF H2B header w/3" 3 bolt flange style
3" full exhaust all mandrel bent steel straight piping to a Flowmaster style turbo muffler
QSD H2B kit
Exedy Twin Disc Clutch
98 USDM ITR tranny w/ OEM 4.7 Final Drive
FULL RACE Traction Bar
Hondata s300
AEM Wideband

Really hoping to make a minimum of 210whp...but truely looking for 220whp, and i was wondering what you guys think of it ...and if im hoping for to much out of this setup ? my goal @ the moment is to make as much power as possible with just good bolt-ons and type-s cams and a good tune...ive done reaserch on h2b's for a long time and ive seen guys on here make the power im looking for with a much cheaper header and stock cams but as i said im looking to see what you guys think ? incase anyone is wondering the swap is going in a "01" Type-R .

really should be do-able, i made 200 whp on a stock h2b with just a cai and a header, running on a stock p13. get cam gears also for when you get your tune, they should help you out with squeezing out some more power.

well,... That exhaust is huge. you may want to tone it down a little maybe 2.5 unless you plan on boosing later on, too big exhaust can actually hurt your performance (torque mostly) Also that type R tranny gearing is going to be pretty short. I believ a 96 spec one would do better, unless you like cruissing at 5k in 5th doing 70 (but it will get you there quick). Look into crome rather then hondata. Hondata is great but can overcomplicate things on a moderate NA build. 550 injectors maybe a little overkill as well. Port match your exaust and intake to make them work to full available potential .210 should be make-able, Cam gear will help(clinicrx). 220 with some mild aftermarket cams and a good tune. Good luck

There are multiple dynos showing the gains on stock h22s with a 3 inch exhaust in comparison to 2.5s.We aren't dealing with 1.8L B series motors here, the same theory doesnt apply

i made 200whp and 156tq with a stock h22a block, skunk2 manifold, rc 440's, skunk2 68mm tb, ssr 4-2-1 header, wahlbro 255 fuel pump,3 inch exhaust to stock muffler, on 87 octane. your setup has a little more going on and the tranny man....if its a daily ride id recommend(personal opinion) opting for a ls 5th gear cus you will be in 5th most the time. i have an ls 5th in a 99 si tranny and its perfect! good setup love the manifold good luck MassScene!

Thanx ...im looking for a good whp # with good bolt-ons...just to see what i can do then im doing an all-out build in the near future....and as far as the s300 it is a great product expecially with all the options it has and how easy it is for the tuner. and yes i have an AEM wideband. Im looking to digg up in the low 12.'s on this setup with 23's and traction bars..im up for the challenge seeing that my Type-R isn't the lightest car !

A local kid around my way just tuned his H2b ....before he was running it with a stock P72Gsr ecu and he put it on the dyno like that and made 198whp and ran like a 13.1 @ 106mph-ish...and now he tuned with s300 and made 217whp...He has a simple/decent setup camp1320 header slightly re-worked stock manifold + 70mm throttle body and typeS cams. So i feel pretty confident that i should be able to make my goal of 220 as long as my motors as healthy as i think.

220 is doable with a healthy motor and your mods. Some blox b's would definitely make it possible if you don't get it from the Type S cams.

BTW, i'm sure the s300 does make it much easier for the tuner to use. No chips to burn, dont have to pop open the ECU... Wide Band ready. looking into getting it done by this summer on my own car...

if i was gonna run cams on the stock motor...i would look into the pro-series either 1's or 2's ....but with the future build i have in mind i dont wanna buy cams twice. And i already have the type-s cams so i have my fingers crossed. And you can pick up hondata s300's on here all the time for like 500-550$'s .....Most tuners prefer to use this now over most others...its plug and play with a usb cord...no burning..no chips..and has datalogging..and a ton of other safety things.

i have a completely stock jdm h22 with camp header and 68mm throttle body. i just tuned it and i made 208 whp and 161 torque. a friend of mines have a jdm h22 also with dc header, skunk2 manifold, n 68mm throttle body made 215 whp and 15X torque. so i think 210 is good with your set up. 220 looks doable.
