Is this legal??
im having the 95 accord EX single cam VTEC engine for my 93 civic DX hatch, and someone told me that its not legal to do so. my mechanic told me "i think its ok aslong as the engine fits in the car"

well your friend is right! too a point and as for your mechanic
you will have to goto the smog ref to get that engine legit

by the way this is base on California U.S law, so basicly after the swap ill take my car to a smog testing shop and get thier approval? for it to be street legal?

in most cases people just drop it in and pray they don't get caught.

As I did like 12 times and got caught twice. Pretty decent ratio if you ask me 6:1

yeah i was in the san fernando valley i would go to roxford in sylmar and race and sometimes lancaster every thursday and saturday and any day during the week

jdm if there were no consequences I paid a couple hundred bucks and that was it. If you know how to work the courts and know the rules and regulations to selling a car its nothing.

LOL i found out that the ref here in lancaster is one big dick. as he fail my friends eg with K in it, my friend even put the stock head/tail lights back removed the stickers removed the lip had the stock seats back in took of the struts torque damper gauges dude the car looks like it just came out from a honda dealer pretty stock still the dick ref failed him he has something againts honda's i assume lol

no cuz the thing is he thought making the car looks like a racing car triggers the mind of the ref to fail him cuz he might just go haul *** on his streets thus he made it look stock and just plead and told him that he totalled his other car and just took the engine of it and put it in this old car or some bullshit like that
