labor price for swap
Hey guys, I have a 94 civic that I'm going to swap a b18b into. I don't have the time or equipment to do it myself so I'm looking at some local shops that have experience with Honda swaps. I was just wondering what a ball park price would be for the install. Its about as easy as swaps go, and I'll provide the engine and all the parts needed. Just a price for labor only. Right now I have no idea what the going rate is so I have no idea if I'm getting ripped off or not. Thanks.

ive heard anywhere from 4-6 hundred.
there are a few people on here that can do it for cheaper, 2-3 hundred dollar range, but thats not a shop price, its a person that posts on this board, also a few people who own shops or have friends that own shops may be able to give you a better price too, It all depends.

Re: (stupidwhitecat)
I went to the shop near my house that I want to take it to, and they quote me a price of $800. They told me that other shops that they know of charge $1000-1200. I don't know if I believe this guy, and $800 for a basic swap seems really high. The problem is I live in central PA so that is the only import shops around my area. Other than this one the next closest one is like 3 hours away. So I'm not sure what to do. Should I try and talk him down?
