Default Knock sensors with CRVTEC

I read everything over at CRVTEC.com and couldn't find anything about the knock sensor. Is it true that with CRVTEC you dont run a knock sensor?

Same with LS/VTEC?

Doing this CRVTEC seems pretty complicated to me. Here's my my question. I'm going to do a swap into an EG hatch in the next couple months. If my plan is to run N20 initially, then eventually rebuild and run a turbo....am I better off just going with a B18C1, or actually building a CRVTEC or LS/VTEC ?

If you run a chipped p28 then you will need no knock sensor least the comp will not look for one.

But isn't it dangerous to not have one? What if you get a bad tank of gas?

My question is, is there a way to have one hooked up?

I'd be running a turbo eventually and maybe n20 before that, or together. Seems like a knock sensor is good idea

b20's do have a Knock senser
I't my understanding that when they chip the p28 it will cause your
check engine light to be on all the time so they program the ecu to
not see the the knock sensor
someone please corect me if i'm wrong

Someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the computer need a knock sensor in order to determine if VTec should be engaged? BTW, all B20 and LS blocks have knock sensors...

I was just going by what that book Honda and Acura Engine Builders Guide said. They said you have to ground the knock sensor wire to the chassis so that ECU is fooled and let's VTEC engage.

That's all fine and dandy for VTEC, but I want a working knock sensor.

P28 does not need a knock sensor input!

P30 or P72 does!

I'm using a J&S safeguard but i'm running 11.0+
Or you can keep your ears open and use good gas
91 octane and the az heat have given me alot of problems thats why i got the j&s

B20 Z has a knock sensor/ b20b does not
http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/tech/b20/b20tech.html

Im running a gs-r ecu w/ my b20. So that ecu has a a knock sensor, mine is just taped up in pass. compartment. Until i get my p28 reprogramed.
