ok. I have a 99 gsr motor in my 92 hatch. the valve cover keeps hitting the hood. you can see the dents right where it happens. my friends love it, but what can I do to stop it? when I take off I can hear it every time. krunch.

Fix your broken torque mounts. They are the ones on the front of the tranny and the a/c compressor mount. If both are good its the rear.

Re: kinda funny and cool, but need help (TYPE EG6)
get a fiberimages hood they dont have all the supports in the middle of the hood!
i had the same problem like week ago
i just bought a ctr valve cover i closed the hood drove to work showed my friend my new valve cover and the hood was wearing away at the wrinkel coat so i took it off at work and drove around till i got my fiber images hood and now the problem is fixed i dont think its the mounts because i replaced all my mounts when i did my swap like a month before all that happened and the hood still hit the cover!
i think its because the width of the valve cover compared to the old singel slam motor is what causes the problem!

damn. how much are those hoods?? I was thinking about cutting a hole where it hits, and put hode vents right there. like the fake ones that you use 3M tape to tape them down, but it wouldn't be fake. hahaha.
