keep the a/c....

I'm just wondering why hardly anyone keeps a/c on their Civic's with b-series swaps. I mean, it's not that hard to keep the a/c and p/s when swapping in a b-series engine. I mean it's even possible to keep a/c with a turbo setup, but still most people ditch the a/c. I've been considering buying a 92-95 Civic with a b-series swap, but I can't find any that still have a/c. I just think it would make sense to keep it unless you're building an all out race car. I mean, you don't lose a great deal of power by keeping it. It's definitely not worth sweating at traffic lights in the summer, and riding around with foggy windows everytime it rains. Oh well, I just want some comments and opinions on this.

You're exactly right. Just this past August, i put a B18c into my 94 si, and since my car came with all the finer things in life (ac,ps for instance), i decided it'd be silly to lose those and listen to my girlfriend nag about her hair getting blown around by the wind when its fixed all up. It was a hassle working around the AC, and i had to lose the heat shield on the exhaust manifold, but it all fits perfectly once its in there. The car is very potent, and all those "AC and PS" jiveturkies still complain that I should have taken it out. If weight is the concern, then just add something to compensate right?

my thoughts exactly! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif i'm looking to buy a new project and it would be nice to find a clean gsr, but i kinda want a 93-95 civic ex coupe with like a b16 or b18c1 swap, but all of them that i find don't have a/c.. so i have my mind set on finding a clean gsr now, since it's too hard to find a swapped civic with a/c.
