Default K24(TSx Engine), or k20a type-r for my turbo integra?

i will be going with a k-series for my teg, but im not sure which would be more beneficial to boost, im thinking the k24, but im not sure if there are any differences between the actual swap or not. im thinking the k24 tsx motor will give me the extra displacement, and should be able to make some power up top too, while the k20-r motor might be too high of compression for what im looking for right now... im runnign a big innovative turbo too, so that extra .4 litres would be nice to help her spool.... i havent seen too many tsx motors around though, any insight on where to find them?

im not a k series expert....YET but as far as i know the only difference is that the k24 is taller, maybe requiring some creative hoodwork. In my opinion, because of the lower compression of the k24 it would be better to boost.

19.7mm to be exact - you should be able to notch the hood & get it to fit

not sure if you could use K-pro with k24a2 (TSX) motor - different set up with drive by wire & unique head than that of a k20a/a2

If I were to go all out & turbo a K series motor - I would look at it like any other turbo build up...invest in getting the block sleeved, forged low compression pistons, forged rods, etc...

if you want a good TSX motor I would call up the guys @ http://www.importautosalvage.com or http://www.Hmotorsonline.com - they prob. won't have anything but you could probably get on a waiting list - or be next inline if you put a deposit down

did you search in archive topics "k24" ?
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=922739 <--- try asking hotwheelz - he's got a TSX motor in a RSX

there is lots more

well, this will be going into an integra, not an rsx, but maybe i would be better off going with the k20 type s motor and doing a descent build
