i would want to put the k20 in a insight, ugly *** car,but looks like it would bolt right in. Considering the car only weighs 1400lbs.

not w/o some fabrication i believe, and they both spin different ways

that's for 2001 civics, for 02, yes it'll go right into the Si

from what i have heard there is a bolt in kit being made as we speak. but i heard that about 3 months ago. we shall see. If they ever do come out with a bolt in kit I would think about buying a 7g civic

umm ok......yet your intake manifold will be switch to the front and your exhaust to the back, sure all you need is good mounting, just saying wiring is going to be one hell of a bitch. i hope you have $$ because you'll be payin someone to make a custom wiring harness for that, let alone, make i-vtec work (which would also have to be custom wiring to the ECU inside the car.

THAT'S what the circumstances are.

and........the 03 SiR? wow, where have u seen this? and the 02 Si and R is maybe what you are talking about, pretty much every honda/acura model 02+ comes with I-vtec, hell even the CR-V does, so what's your point.

you want to jump to even more of future, throw a 2.4L CR-V motor with an RSX Type-S head into an 02 Si......that's some REAL beast there......PHEW...and stock internals on an RSX type S can handle up to 20 PSI -- that pretty much ties DSM's psi on stock internals capacity, and this is increased technology and CAME from the factory N/A, and can still bolt up a snail with huge PSI and not even blow?

that's some amazing stuff.

just can't wait to see someone get their hands on a i-vtec crv motor K24, and throw a Type S K20C (correct me if wrong) on there, that's a beast.

ok ima shut up now. point made.

K20A2, and the 02 JDM SIR has the K20A2 stock.

I think the new Si is considered a 03 model. when I talked to both my local dealers about them them refered to them as the 03 Si.

the new civic SI like you guys call it is a 03 model yes..

and the real name of that car is SIR but in USA you always had SI instead of SIR but neway ..

in canada it's called civic SIR as was the b16 (160hp) 99-00 SIR civic of the previous generation .. ( you're coupe SI )

wiring will haveto be custom made that i can live on..i've wired lots of fucekd up car and if you have the chart of the ecu pins and what to plug where it's a pretty easy job .. ( welll we'll need both the base civic ecu chart and the K20 ecu chart to know what has to be rewired and what goes where form the stock harness )

what i was originally asking ( excuse my maybe misleading title and questions )
is what about the mounts ? are they at least positionned in a near to correct place?
that is if anybody tried or mesured ..

WTF are you talking about there???
LO ?? i live in canada..maybe i should know what kind of car we had what do you think?

USA SI = CANADA SIR ..well at least for the 2 last gen including the 03 sir

for example, we had an SI coupe in 1998 but it was exactly like usa's EX
well reall alike mechanically wise..

there are supposedly 3 completed k20a2 (rsx type s) swaps into 2k1 (non si) civics...one is supposed to have a prototype turbo on it...no other proof so they may be a load

there is a guy on 2k1civic.com who has his 2k1 ex coupe at a shop in la where they are about to finish it...he seems to be legit with his info and updates of his post ( http://www.2k1civic.com/forum/messag...threadid=21012 )
