It's just the 160 HP motor, like the one used in the EP3 Si and the RSX Premium.

Once again, a thread containing at least 30 replies gets edited down to a single post.... Brilliant...

A bunch of ranting, un-helpful and abusive posts were removed by me, yes.

What exactly is your problem?

They are both "good."

The K20A3 is 160 HP, the K20A2 is 195 HP.

Most people are going to tell you the K20A2 because of the HP and because more modifications are available for the K20A2 because it was in the USDM Type S and some iterations of the DC5 ITR and EP3 CTR.

The K20A3, however, is usually very cheap because so many USDM EP3 Si people take it out to put in a K20A2 or K20A(*).

Remember while you're talking about this that you need to do a *lot* of research, and remember you need to think about what computer you want and what transmission (EP3/RSX five speed or Type S six speed), and so on.

k20a3 also has a much crappier vtec compared to the k20a2. your much better off getting an a2 over an a3. a3s are cheap, but the motor isnt what costs the most in a swap (unless you have a k series car already). may as well spend the extra 2k for a better engine.
and if its an 06, your going to have to deal with VSS. try and get an 02-04 k20a2.

better yet, grab a k24 block and put a k20a2 head on it (250hp roughly as opposed to 200hp)
