Stock K- around 4k

Boosted D capable of up to 600whp 3k-5k

Its all preference. I really don't think starting a thread was necessary.
Also take into account cost if something breaks. And tuning availability.

Where are you finding all the parts for a k swap for under 4k just curious bc I'd love to swap a k series for under 4...

Funny how these useless threads get more chat than people with actual tech questions

People love dick measuring contests

5k+$500 for mounts. AROUND 4k, not under. Reading>you.

And that's a K20A.

$3800. Comes with everything. I can't believe people will pay this much money for around 180-200 whp. 5k and you can have anywhere from 200whp to 600whp in an incredibly reliable D series. People make me wonder.

that's a rip off for a k24a2 considering you cant use that trans in a swapped chassis. you can find longblocks for 1500 all day.

Dseries turbo.
stoute engine with nice turbo kit for 450-500whp Dseries would be way more bang for buck for $5K budet

even for $4K budget you can get solid d series in 350-400whp range

Everything i have looked at is on Ebay. Innovative mounts, usdm k series, shifter box, axles, and kpro equal out go be right around 3800. Full rebuild kit plus aftermarket mounts, plus upgraded axles, plus upgrading the clutch, plus turbo kit, plus tune, plus build, equals out to be a little more than the k series swap.
And everyone hasn't taken in to account that i might build the k series later on.
