Default Just finished swap...but I don't get a spark, why?

Okay, I just finished a swap. The details are as follows:

1999 or 2000 B16A2 motor from an Si (I forgot what year exactly)
Going into a 1997 Civic HX Coupe

The swap went well, except for some tight bolts here and there. Anyway...

I had to wire in a knock sensor wire as well as extend the Vtec and O2 sensor wires. The knock sensor wire and Vtec are hooked up. I haven't done either of the O2 ones yet, but the car should still start, right?

I cranked it, and there was no spark. I held up the plug wire and stuck a plug in it and cranked it...nothing.

I changed the cap, rotor, coil, and even the ignitor. Still nothing. The car cranks and the starter spins, the car just doesn't turn over.

What could it be? I tried several ECU's too. The supplied B16A ECU, a GSR ECU, and the stock HX ECU. Nothing. As I was cranking it, I heard a slight clicking noise in the ECU/footwell area.

Thanks.

Yeah, I think so. There's the ground from the tranny area to the frame, the valve cover to the frame. Then there's the small wire ground from the starter. Anything else?

I also checked the battery ground, that's working too. All electronics on the car are working (headlights, radio, fans, etc).

There is a ground on the back of the thermostat housing...ECT switch is back there I believe. Just make sure all grounds are good...if you already swapped the coil...try the ICM( the 3 prong thing below the coil in the dist.). Good luck dude....

hmmm, are you getting any codes!

sounds like you have done most things right...

no spark at all? does the fuel pump go buzz for two seconds when you switch the key to 'on'?

is it a main relay problem???

maybe?

This was it guys! Thanks a lot! Finally got it done after like 3 weeks. Haha....well, hey, it was my first swap.

Anywho....but now the motor only revs to like ~3K and kinda rev limits itself. It does this with the stock HX ECU and the GSR ECU I have. Now I remember hearing about this problem often and it's something simple.

Care to enlighten me on what this could be? Thanks for the help, guys.

Only problems I have ever seen with a 3krpm(sometimes more, somtimes less) is a distributor problem. One time my buddy just put a turbo on his car and while someone was cutting his fuel line for the inline pump, they cut a distributor wire. It was barely hanging on and he got a 3k rpm rev limiter.

What is the timing set at?? Just check and make sure all wires are tight inside the distributor. I know the feeling of having ignition probs....dont ask why I can take a distributor apart so fast...
