Just finished Mini Me swap "Need Help"
Ok I am just finishing up the mini me swap in my civic but now I am wondering if I was given the right info..
Before
After
I have a :
d15b7 Block
d16z6 Head, I/M, Dizzy, Fuel Rail, FPR "Complete Head Swap"
d15b7 Head Gasket
d16z6 Timing Belt

Does anyone see any problem with the parts I used before I try starting it up ??

Re: (H23vtecEG)
on this swap he had an extra coolant hose from the d15 block, is there supposed to be one or no??
and also at low rpm's the idle is fluctuating, is this normal and jus can be tuned out or could it be something wrong

Re: Just finished Mini Me swap "Need Help" (cspciviclx)
Ok the swap is all done runs real strong every thing is great but I have this fluctuation between 1000 and 1500 rpms at idle I shot some video of the problem:
Video- 13 megs best to Right click and save as
http://www.wickedwerx.com/videos/fluctuation.wmv
The sound is kinda choppy at first but it gets better. I have checked all over the motor for a hose off or something of that sort and I can't find one nor can I find one with dry rot or holes in it I made sure the intake manifold gasket was new and all torqued in, brand new pcv valve. I also have a extra coolant line in the back of the head right by the VTEC noid it comes off the block and I have looked all over the head for a fitting for it and I can not locate one anywhere so for now I plugged it any help would be great ..

Re: Just finished Mini Me swap "Need Help" (cspciviclx)
i was thining of doing this also and i was wondering if i use a y8 head will i have to use a obd2 harness and ecu or is that just when i use a obd2 motor? or will i just use my obd1 harness and p28 obd1 ecu?
how high does a dx ecu have a rev limit too 6800? was thinking of using that and a vafc to control vtec is this the wrong approach?

Re: Just finished Mini Me swap "Need Help" (no-tec)
just use the stock harness, and stock dist on the y8, and use a p28 to control vtec, then if you feel the need use a v-afc to fine tune it

use the VX timing belt otherwise you'll be half tooth off in either way (so be careful)
