planning on dropping a OBD2a jdm gsr into my OBD2b em1..
after researching a lot on HT this is what i came up with..

i know i can use my stock si harness and all my stock motor mounts/brackets/shift linkage..would a stock OBD2b si harness be just plug and play onto the OBD2a gsr engine? meaning would all the sensors on my old OBD2b b16a2 will fit onto the JDM OBD2a jdm b18c gsr engine..i plan on using the JDM ecu so that i dont have to deal with the CKF sensor/evap sensor/vtec oil pressure switch..i do know that i have to wire up the iab to run the secondary butterfly for the gsr intake manifold and i have to customize the iat sensor since the OBD2b b16a2 had the iat on the intake tube, and the OBD2a gsr has the iat on the intake manifold..and also to run the jdm ecu i would need a OBD2b to OBD2a jumper harness..i would also need a gsr throttle cable and longer fuel return line..and also i might need to extend the wiring on some of the sensors.

can anybody confirm that this would be all i need to do..

bump...need help, planning on doing the swap soon..don't want to have to put another b16a2 in it..

you are correct. you just have to wire iab's in, replug the IAT. everything else should plug right in.

thanks..so what if i do a JDM b18c type R swap instead..would it be the same?..thinking about upgrading to the JDM type R instead..
