JDM H22a vs JDM B18C cost...
What would cost more $$$$.....a JDM H22a w/LSD OR a JDM B18c with LSD into a 97 Civic EX. H22a w/ LSD is 2500, B18c w/ LSD is 3600, but i know a lot more is needed in terms of extra parts to complete the H22a swap. I am looking to take the least expensive route!! Would the parts needed to complete the H22a swap cost more than the B18c swap? Thanks...

Re: JDM H22a vs JDM B18C cost... (Rydaddy)
i went through the same ordeal
h22a does require more parts and is a bit harder swap, now im not sure how hard it is in a 96+ civic but for my 94 this is what i paid
2600 swap with lsd
axels 90-93 teg- 120$
accord 1/2 shaft 50$
HCP mount kit with A/C adapter 460$
FAL radaitor fan(slim)170$
JUN flywheel 360$
act clutch 230$
misc. hoses etc.. 50$
now some of these things i bought arent needed but better to do while the motor is out
then you got misc. stuff like fluids stuff like that which is a cost for either motors
i am not fully done so i dont know how happy i am but when i am im racing my buddy that has a 92 cx hatch with b18c-R with simmilar mods find out which is better i guess?

Re: JDM H22a vs JDM B18C cost... (Rydaddy)
Its on a 92 CX
Doesn't matter which model you put into--92-95 civic are all the same when it comes to this swap--if you have ex--you're better off cuz you got vtec wired in--I got vtec wired too. The only year and only model car a non-vtec car came with a vtec wiring harness.
I'm currently working with an ITT Engineer and he's going to hook me up with a program that allows you to make wiring diagram--I mean factory level ones. I will be posting it soon--I have the whole wiring conversion chart from civic harness to prelude harness. Not very hard--just time consuming. I mean real time consuming if you're doing it from scratch. If the chart is provided for you--shoot kills couple of days of troubleshooting and conversions. Keep everyone posted.
