Is JDM H22 OBDII same as USDM H22A4?
I blew a rod in my 99 prelude, and am planning to buy a JDM block which is already OBDII. My question, is this a direct swap? I'm guessing the dizzy, ecu, and all sensors are identical. yes?

no, they are not the same. the oil pump is different because the jdm engines do not have ckt (crank angle sensors) located on the pump. the dizzy is also different, but you can swap your current dizzy over. also, the alternator plug is different. all things that are different can be swapped over from what you already have since the actual block and head are the same. like the dude above me said, make sure you get the right engine for the car.

I disagree with what you're saying. For OBDI versions of the H22 the CKP sensor is in the dizzy. But for OBDII JDM motors, isnt it identical to the US counterpart? I'm assuming the OBDII motor doesn't have the sensors relocated to the dizzy...

no. obd2 ckt is not located on the oil pump. the jdm engines don't have as strict emissions laws therefore no obd2 jdm engine has a ckt located on the oil pump. this is also why the jdm engines don't have another o2 sensor.
before you try to ask questions and then try to correct my answer, maybe you should do a search first. biotch.

Re: Is JDM H22 OBDII same as USDM H22A4? (TH22EK9)
I think you may have been mislead or don't know how OBDII works. Due to OBDII vehicles requiring that misfires be detected, the ECU uses a trigger(2 teeth on crank) to detect the speed of the crank. When acceleration is not detected(delta crank speed) during a firing stroke, it concurs that a misfire has occurred. So having the CKP sensor on the cam(OBDI) isnt acceptable for OBDII, as cam lash would cause too much of an intolerance.

how can you ask for help and then disagree with what the person is saying?
TH22EK9 is correct. JDM H22As have a their own oil pump, distributor, as well as alternator.
Also the motor maybe be either OBD2A or OBD2B depending on the year of production
