Jdm GSR into Usdm LS
may seem basic but I'm a newbie
two questions for this swap: Can I use my LS wiring harness since JDM one is for RHD?
and if I can, which wires have to be fabricated and for what pins.

yes just add vtec wiring, knock sensor + IAB all together about 6 wires and you're on your ....
what year LS?? 94-5?? then
VTEC Solenoid Yellow/Green A4
VTEC Oil Pressure Sensor Blue (passenger side harness) D6
VTEC Ground Black chassis ground
Knock Sensor Red/Blue D3
Secondary Intake Solenoid Pink/Blue A17 and Yellow/Black 12V power (hot in ON or START) (can be sliced to purge or EVAC)
what year LS?? 94-5?? then
VTEC Solenoid Yellow/Green A4
VTEC Oil Pressure Sensor Blue (passenger side harness) D6
VTEC Ground Black chassis ground
Knock Sensor Red/Blue D3
Secondary Intake Solenoid Pink/Blue A17 and Yellow/Black 12V power (hot in ON or START) (can be sliced to purge or EVAC)

the motor and tranny will drop right in using the same mounts and axles(unless your axles where jacked like mine).
also add the wires mentoined above and you should be all set.
i messed up by keeping my LS tranny because i was thinking about turbo but now im saving for ITR tranny.

Do you have to use the wires from a wiring harness, or can you use a specific type of wire instead?
In other words, can I just use 18 or 20 gauge wiring or is it best to get the harness?
