JDM D15B swap
Ok i have a 95 DX coupe (Automatic) and iv been offered a JDM D15b 130bhp vti engine
The problem is its a manual tranny and my cars an auto.and i want to keep the auto (traffic reasons)
if i do the swap firstly will my Auto box bolt onto the D15b block? and if i can find a Auto EX tranny. will that bolt straight onto the D15b.
also just out of interest. can i do a mini me swap with this the engine??
thanks people
(I did do a search but couldnt find anything on the bolting auto trannys to manual engines)

first off...you cant do a mini-me, becuz its already a vtec engine, second, any dseries tranny will bolt to it. Just use your stock tranny with either a ex ecu or the ex tranny with an ex ecu, along with ur 92-95 ex/si fuel injection, distributor, and all that good MPFI swap stuff, and u will be on the road.

Re: JDM D15B swap (phatrick2332)
when i said mini me i ment. keep my DX block and but the Vtec head from the D15B on it. not put a D16 vtec on the D15B block. which would be pointless as you say.

the D15B is already MPFI and VTEC - looks exactly like a D16Z6 -http://asia.vtec.net/article/d15b/ - have done this swap into 93 EX - bolts right in just like it was made for it

Yes it will bolt directly up.

Yes any 92-00 EX auto tranny will bolt directly up.

Yes but but if you are getting the complete D15B longblock and it's good, I would just use it complete.
