Icon2 jdm b18c type r ecu

I have a 95 integra gsr with a b18b engine in it currently. I'm swapping a jdm b18c type r engine with a p73 ecu into it. It comes with the engine wiring harness, but i was wondering if everything will work fine with this. Does anybody have any insight or helpful information in wiring this ecu up? What will be the easiest way to do this. Anything helps. Thanks.

Your p73 ecu is obd2, it will not plug into your 95 integra which is obd1.
You need an obd1 chipped ecu mapped for the jdm b18c motor.

Please see my signature for more information on chipped obd1 ecus.

OR pick up an OBD1 to OBD2a conversion harness.
the rare variety of OBD1 car to OBD2a ECU.

JDM ECUs will work perfectly on your OBD1 car. No secondary O2, CKF or any of the other OBD2 stuff required.

thanks that helps a lot, getting that conversion harness. what engine harness would be best to get? cause the one that comes with it is jdm so all of the main plugs will be on the wrong side. any suggestions?

hey Guys! So I just recently went to get my emissions test on my '00 integra, and it did not passed as expected. -"just testing my luck". The case is that I have a '96 JDM Type R engine swap in it, and the VEIP in MD cannot read the JDM ECU. So, my question is: "How do I fix this, at least temporarily to pass emissions?"

I know the JDM ECU does not read the second O2 and Knock sensor, so I will have to fix do those if I get a USDM ECU to be able to pass the emissions test. On the other hand, I have until January 2015 to fix it, so the other inquiry would be:
"Can I get a Stand alone management system like AEM and pass inspection?"

Please help!!

Wow really, a 4 year old thread? No you need an obd2 ecu and your ONLY option would be a usdm type r ecu (for it to run as intended) a gsr obd2 ecu might work but im not sure how far off the tune would be.

Also I think it has to be obd2b
