JDM b18c... knock sensor wired... but CEL is on...?

JDM b18c... knock sensor wired... but CEL is on...?
i have a b18c GSR in my 93 civic si chasis... i wired the knock sensor to the ECU.. but im using the JDM b18c ECU. when i rev up hard the CEL comes on. what can the other problem be?

Did you use shielded wire for the knock sensor wiring? If not, that would be your problem. The knock sensor is sensitive to electrical interference's and the shielded wire blocks out those interference's from the surrounding sensors and such.

Also double check and ensure you have set the pin in the plug fully. I had a friend that didn't do that and thought it was in, double check it as your CEL won't be on for a bit even if it's not getting a reading.

I agree btw you can get the shielded wire from radio shack, just in case you didn't know.
