JDM B18C into EJ DX Running Problems...
I just swapped a JDM B18C (ODB2A) from HMotorsonline.com into a 96 EJ civic DX (OBD2A).
I am using the stock DX wiring harness.
Vtec is wired, IACV fix is done and wired, IAB wired, Knock is wired. not throwing any CEL's!
Pretty sure all vacuum lines are plugged in, no leaks i know of...
Engine starts up but chugs as if there is very weak spark, checked with inductive timing light and light is very dim and doesnt follow along with the engine half the time.
My friend has an integra gs-r with same obd2a engine except is USDM. We swapped known working parts over to the civic such as distributor, wires, plugs.. same results.
Is there something im missing for a JDM B18C to run correctly in a DX civic of the same OBD??
Is there something in the distributor i am forgetting to wire? any of the crank sensors or TDC sensor have anything to do with it ?
Thanks, Brent
