Default jdm b18c guru's

I am 90% done on my wiring for my 99 jdm b18c going into my 98 ek.
Q In my Helms manual for a usdm b18c5 connector C (31p) pin 9 is a FAS pinout. My ek ecu connector C (31p) pin 9 is TMV but my engine was not wired for it. Do jdm engine need this wire? if so what is this?

Q. being a jdm engine i know it does not look for

crankflucuation sensor
v-tec pressure switch

is there anything else it does not look for....like evap sensors?

Okay well the FAS and TMA are the same thing... When i did my friend's GSR swap into his '96 hatch it has the wire for that.... Being the same loom as you ('96-'98) it should have it.. Or are you using the 99+ (OBD2b) EK loom? What ECU are you running?? I knew about the VTM on the JDM motors didn't know that the ECU's didn't look for a CKFS!! Guess ya learn something new everyday.. You know man, I don't really know... When I did this swap for my friend i wrote up all my own wiring diagrams because I didn't have any at the time. When I had to figure out what to swap around I realized that i didn't have to do anything with it... I have never even otherwise heard of FAS and TMA for anything.... I'll look into it more and try to find out some more info... Latez

You have an EX harness then right?? When I did I reworked the DX which was a lot more fun than yours.... I wouldn't think that they would change anything for the FAS and TMA but i don't know.... **** this sucks!

Hahaha yea right.... There's a grip of people that have done this swap so someone has to know.... I wouldn't think that it is for auto but who knows.... Plug C has a lot of weird wires in it that i'm really not sure of.... I see its main purpose being distributor sensors, VTEC pressure, etc... The normal ****.... I'll keep lookin into it. Peace

I dont think you need to worry about pin 9 at all. Or at least don't worry about it untill you throw codes.

The JDM ECU wont require the following,
VTEC pressure switch
CFK (Crank fluctuation sensor on oil pump)
PTANK (Fuel Tank preassure sensor on gas tank)
SHO2S (Second O2 Sensor)

I wouldn't worry about anything until you get codes, that way you only need to worry about what isn't actually working.

If this helps, I am using a 96-98 EX harness on my 2000 USDM ITR swap. I didn't have to do ANY repinning at the ECU for my 96(JDM) P73 to work correctly and not throw any codes. But I did make some pinning changes on some of the plugs, I am almost certain it was the IAT sensor (just swapped pin 1 for pin 2).

Here is the Helms info for a 96-98 EX Ecu and harness in case it may help.
