JDM B18B1 into '93 Del Sol Si - help/info
I've come across this forum looking for answers to help me with my B18 Engine swap.
I own a '93 Del Sol Si with a D16Y8 engine. (Transmission started to go, so I thought an engine swap would be good timing)
I have recently purchased and dropped in a B18B1 (JDM) from a 96 Integra LS.
I have currently left the original computer in (P28 I think).
The engine starts, and runs great, until it warms up. It them starts to run VERY ROUGH. The tachometer does not work, and I get a CEL code 20 (Electrical Load)
I plugged the wire harness that came with the B18, into the wire harness on the shock struts. That's it for wiring.
I've looked at Dan's Thread. I think the only thing left for me to do is to put in a "PR4 or P75 ECU".
My questions are:
-Will my existing wire-harness plug into one of the above ECUs?
-If I rewire the electrical connections on the struts... Will my current computer run my motor fine?
-Is there a better ECU / Wire harness combination I should use?
I want an easy solution to finish this swap. Any suggestions are helpful.
Edit: What kind of solution is there to get my tach working? The wire harness on the B18B1 JDM motor does not have a wire that connects to the blue wire on the driver side strut tower. (pin-4)

You need a 96-99 Integra P75 ECU. You'll have to bypass the CKF as the JDM engine doesn't have it.

As for the tach signal

I have some tap-ins I can use to bypass the CKF.
I will post my results.
