Axles - Use 94+ Teg Axles
Throttle Body - LS throttle Body
Wiring Harness - Use Harness from B20
ECU - OBD I (95 or Older) LS (make sure you pick 5-spd or auto depending on what you choose next)
Tranny - Any B-Series tranny (5-spd or Auto. See above ^^)
Distributer - Use Dist. from b20.

You don't have AC in a CX, so I can't think of anything else you will need.

Does'nt matter. The underhood harnesses should plug right in. Same thing as my swap 96 OBDII LS motor with a OBDI P75 ECU. Plug and play baby........

I forgot something:
If you do go 5-spd, you will need integra shift linkage as well.

About the dist. I don't know about that. There are a lot of b20's on this board maybe they would be able to help you more.

-you can use the 90-93 teg axles as well.
-I have the P75 ecu
-also have the LS distributor, throttlebody, fuel rail and injectors
-tranny wise I would go with a 94 and up GSR tranny

yeah i want to go b20z but I'm not sure where to get my longblock from????
Also yeah i want to go GSR tranny but I'm 15 and right now.......and I work at a grocery store, money is seacred, so i'm going to make it run before i start shifting to fast , So i'm just going to scrap up an LS trans, I need it to pass emmissions since my new(used) Dx motor is a peice of smoke that pukes out oil in the gallons

So where should i get my block from?? I can get all the ls parts for free...... I got a friend who works at a junkyard..... ..

if you use the 90-93 teg axles, you must use a 90-93 intermediate shaft.

Good luck with the swap. You'll need it.

There are ALWAYS other things . Not to sound mean, but, whenever you're doing something that major, there will always be little, unforseen problems, that you'll have to fix. It's always good to have a little extra money lying around (as well as an extra ride!) while you do your swap. Good luck@

You don't have AC in a CX, so I can't think of anything else you will need.
HTH
Don't make generalizations... I have two CX's. One is stock with AC and the other one had it in it before the swap.

Check local junk yards as well as the classified section here. Also, try finding someone local on http://www.thepartstrader.com.

Also, there was a nice thread going a while back that had places and reviews listed. You can find that thread here:

Okay, my d16z6 is sitting on the floor right now, and i've been through almost all these questions in my head over the past few weeks myself.

Axles: i'm sorry but the chassis in a 90-93 integra is not quite as wide as a 92-00 civic or 94-00 tegra, the axles are just slightly too short if used in a cable application in a hydrolic car. There is a solution though, you can use 88-89 prelude axles, which come from a b21. If you are using a hydrolic type tranny with cable type midshaft(midshaft has female end) i don't know what the hell you should do. That's a lot of guessing.

Wiring harness: I have a 97 b20, a b20b4 to be exact sitting in my garage right now, the wiring harness will not plug up into my car, it is similar to a 96-civic, where it plugs in at the ecu. I'm considering using the ex wiring harness, but the distrubutor plugs will have to be resoldered, also the alternator wiring, + my car did not have a crank position sensor, so that has to be added also. I'm seriously considering buying an entire integra wiring harness for this application.

Mounts: Anything on the b20 is useless. The lower ac bracket, although it didn't come with my motor, i've heard i cannot use it. The timing side bracket, useless, i had to buy a new one from acura,$63, use integra mounts everywhere on this motor, hopefully you'll know somebody with a fucked LS motor that you can get all the parts off of. Otherwise it gets extremely expensive.

Other fucked up bull-****: A new mid-shaft costs around $350 at acura, many salvage yards won't let go of them, becasue they prefer to sell integra motors as a whole, the entire swap. I put a 91 ls intake manifold on the b20 thinking I would just be able to swap sensors from the b20 to it, WRONG! The ls manifold I have has the cold idle valve on the manifold, the b20 had it on the throttle body, so I decided to use the LS throttle body and sensors, well the problem here is that this year integra doesn't have a map sensor, or I can't figure out where the hell to put one. Basically, this is the biggest pain in the *** i've ever been through.

What is probably gonna end up happening is i'm gonna buy an entire LS swap, strip the motor of it's cams, manifolds, wiring, and sell the block to someone who already has a b-series that can make an ls-vtec out of it. Then, trade the LS tranny to some idiot with a turbo GSR(i've got someone in mind already,) . Then i'll have a motor with *** loads of torque, and a great gearbox. And a horribly depleated checking account.

Oh, if you need a b20 and you can't find it anywhere else, check http://www.evanshondaspecialist.com

They're good folks, they sold me my motor, although i just live like 30 minutes away from there.

Plan B,

That's good info. I'll need it, I have a B20b4 out in the garage and it's missing a few things.

Honestly best thing to do is scrape up a 2nd gen B16A swap, do a nice EASY COMPLETE swap, then buy your b20 longblock and either sell the entire b16a longblock or keep the head and go to town, and sell the b16a shorty to someone that can use it...

Can you use the B20 throttle body on the LS intake manifold?

It will bolt on to it. It's slightly smaller from what I can tell. Alse b20 TB's have a kickdown cable on them. So there is two little holes on the throttle wheel. But it's obvious which one is the right one.

Are the injectors the same LS and B20? I've heard the fuel rail is not, and an LS one is required... damn I thought the TB's were the same diameter too.

I'm slowly getting my parts together, but I'll get there. This area was one thing I was unsure of.

Oh and what about the sensors? Which ones can I use from the longblock I buy, and which will I have to grab from my DX (or LS)? Going into 96 hatch.

Hondamotorsonline won't respond to my email, haha, dunno why, i guess they are extremely busy. I've tried 3 times already. Guess I'll have to call them up. On average anyone know what they charge S&H to Texas on a longblock?
