Default itr swap vtec wont engage

i bought an eg hatch with a 01 usdm itr motor in it doesnt hit vtec at all. i bought a p73 ecu thinking that was the problem and it doesnt engage any ideas

have you run the vtec wires to the selenoids or is it a si hatchback

yo i had same problem but with jdm motor (in my case there were no v-tech setup on the selenoid) its an additional sensor on it i have a 94 ex coupe civic with 96 type r b18c jdm

if i were u i would check all the vtec wiring and make sure that they added the knock senser wire, also make sure u are not throwing a cel.

also clean you solenoid screen. are you low on oil?
