Interesting dyno results and Ignition Timing.
Its an EG hatch with a B18C1, skunk 2 cams, DC 4-1, testpipe, 35$ intake.
@ 16 degrees BTC - 184.5 hp & 132TQ
@ 18 degrees BTC - 180 hp & 129TQ
Its interesting because below VTEC (below 4,400 rpm), there is 4-5hp more when timing is set @ 18.
After Vtec kicks in, its goes for a few hundred rpms then the graphs cross and the 16 degres gains 4.5hp at the very top end.
Guys at the dyno is theorizing that when timing is @ 18, when vtec kicks in, the preset Vtec map gives it more timing than needed and starts loosing power.
