Default Installed MSD Digital 6.. Can you say more power!!

Damn went to RPM and my boys hooked me up with a sweet looking bracket so that I could finally put my MSD back in. Did the install on Tuesday and fired up the engine, nothing but sweetness... Finally took it for a test drive yesterday and the car feels real smooth now and damn is it fast. Vtec not only kicks in now but pulls even harder all the way to 8k.. I still have the fuel pressure set @ 40psi and probably wont change it till I can get onto a dyno..

Next few things is to install my gauges, shift light, and VAFC. Then work from there and see how much power she is making..

BTW: Had to kill a b16 hatch the other day..

I've been thinking about an ignition as well. How much is the MSD Digital 6?

I've been looking at some Accel's lately.

tell me more about the b16 kill. lol

Dunno bought it like a few years back even before I had the swap when carparts.com was giving those sweet coupon deals. Its a nice unit though with alot of features like 2 step rev limit, starter retart, rpm dependant retard, and boost retard via switch.

And as for the kill I was actually just driving around and saw this hatch and crx running up and down the streets. Found out it was someone I knew and they were going to do a lil racing so I decided to watch. Well after the b16/eg beat up on the stock CRX he said he wanted to run me. I asked him if he was sure since he knew what kinda of engine I had and he said yeah. So I said what the hell. Lined up while he was burning his tires to ****. I did none of that. Didnt even rev at the line just launched it.. Got all of first and second before the end of the road was coming fast. One by about a car when it was all said and done..

His car is running strong though, but LSD plus extended stance helps me out big time.. No slip just go..

Cool beans Jason. Sounds sweet. I've been looking into the Crane units for a while now, but I just haven't been able to justify the cost over other parts. Maybe now you convinced me a tad bit more.

Well to be honest when I had it in before in my Accord I did feel a noticable increase in gas mileage and plus the smoother RPM advancement. But not its like a different animal. I guess with the CAI and new chip this engine just takes off once it hits VTEC.. I really need to get it on a highway to see how it feels because driving in town I am lucky to get into 3rd gear before running into traffic..

I will take some pictures of the new engine bay today and post them up..

Has anybody looked into the Jacobs units? They have some pretty insane claims.

All my domestic friends have made 1-2 more HP with the Accel units (over all the others...MSD etc. Haven't tested Jacobs. About 3-4 hp over stock), so for now that's the way I'm leaning.

Well RPM kinda just gave me the guys number. And from I first told everyone about it the excitement kinda just blew by the wayside. Plus these guys are cheaper.. Me and chameleon are heading out there so if you wanna roll just let him or me know..

I mounted my mine by my intake pipe, the metal clamp almost shaved a hole in the MSD box from vibration.
