iat sensor plug different
2 Attachment(s)
ok so my 2000 civic has a different style plug on my harness then the jdm b18c r.. the swap has the round plug in the manifold.. is it possible to depin and just swap the connectors? or are the pins different? |
Re: iat sensor plug different
The pins are different. Cut the wires to the plug in your hand with enough wire to reach the IAT sensor on the intake manifold. Then cut the other plug in the picture off 1" back from the black plug and connect the round grey plug to the newly cut wires... red/yellow to red/yellow and green/white to the green/black. Done.

Re: iat sensor plug different
sorry that other pic i had was wrong.. this is my iat sensor on the bottom and the itr has the circle one on top.. are these the same pins? |
Re: iat sensor plug different
The pics don't change the answer... they are different, so cut and then re-connect as I stated above.

Re: iat sensor plug different
it's best to use the heat shrink type of butt connectors made by 3M that you can get in the electrical section at walmart
after crimping down good, use a lighter to heat up the ends and they will melt/shrink closed |
Re: iat sensor plug different
do u know which wire goes to which side of the new circle plug? |

Re: iat sensor plug different
You could also just put the IAT into your intake arm https://honda-tech.com/forums/webkit...5a717/imagepng |

Re: iat sensor plug different
Yeah doesn’t matter Honda updated it in 96 and put it in the intake arm and airbox. It’ll be fine. Just use your OBD2 sensor and put it into your intake arm |
