IAB Vacuum Routing
There are four vacuum ports. Two on the IAB solonid, and two more and the back of the IAB box. These two were broken off the engine.
Im guessing=
1.From on intake manifold to the Box
2.From the solonoid to the IAB Valve(Which one goes to the valve top or bottom port)
3??
4??

Re: IAB Vacuum Routing (sleeperciv)
If I understand your numbering system correctly, number 3 and number 4 connect to eachother. Meaning a hose would run from #3 to #4. If you can get your hands on a helms manual or if someone had a pic of the system that they could post, you would see what I'm talking about.

Three and Four connect together what purpose does this serve.
3 Goes from the box and connects into 4 into the box (like a loop).

That's correct. It actually connects to the vacuum box and the very bottom of the control solenoid. You REALLY need to buy a helms manual to double check all of these things. I'll try to take a pic tonight to show you, but it can only do so much.

Re: IAB Vacuum Routing (SpyderZEX)
Ok here are some pics. I hope these help. Sorry they are so crappy.
Notice there are four hose locations
Another angle.
Pic is a little childish but you should be able to get the point.
If you can see in my pic the #1 location plugs into the #2 location.
#3 (#13 line in the helms manual) goes to the IAB Diaphram which actually controls the butterflys.
#4 (#12 line in helms manual) splits and goes to the manifold and the FPR vacuum line.

Re: IAB Vacuum Routing (SpyderZEX)
**So the bottom two loop(#1,#2)
The picture makes sense now that I see it in front of me.
Vacuum goes into the box into #4
Then when the solonoid is activated vacumm travels from the IAB box from#1 through the LOOP into the IAB solonoid #2 then through the solonoid out of #3 and to the IAB Valve.
**So #1, and #4 are broken. Why do i need the box to hold the vacuum. I was thinking of running the vacuum from the intake manifold to the IAB soloniod #2,
then running the #3 into the IAB Valve.
**Just run it through the solonid. then the solonoid was activated it vacuum goes into #2 the solonoid then through the solonoid and out #3 to the IAB valve.
Why does it need to run through the box??
